Winning Wednesday – National Jockeys Trust Race Day Luncheon

Each year sadly, many jockeys fall on hard times due to race falls, injuries and tragically – sometimes lose their lives through racing.

It is the National Jockeys Trust. an outstanding public charitable trust, who are there to help relieve the financial hardship and provide support for jockeys and their families with the support, kindness and recognition that they deserve.

The board of trustees is headed up by Paul Innes OAM as Chief Executive (also the chairman) who works tirelessly with Gregory Sword AM, Ross Hedley Inglis, Dr Phil Truskett AM, Bob Whyburn, Bernard Allan Ryan, Reverend Paul Bayliss together with a hands on working team – Tony Crisafi and Heidi Castillo.

But they do not work alone.

Since 2013, LUCRF Super is the proud principal sponsor of this charity as well as PFD Food Services, Bradley Photographers and Fast Track Photography.

The National Jockeys Trust also rely heavily on the participants, race goers and the general public for donations.

The pièce de rèsistance though was the raffle to win an exquisite Aquamarine Double Halo Diamond ring valued at $20,200 which was generously donated by Nicholas Haywood Jewellery Concierge. This was every womans dream to win and every mans dream to score brownie points. Sadly it was not won here but won by the beautiful and excited Pip Burgess. Congratulations Pip.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”6136″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Thank you also to the Australian Turf Club for hosting a spectacular day.
